On September 2, 2006, Vision Capital Limited, an independent investment firm headquartered in London, England, completed its acquisition of a portfolio of four businesses from AEA Technology plc for a total consideration of up to £76.4 million. The portfolio of business acquired by Vision Capital comprised the Rail business of AEA (UK), Waste Management Technology Ltd. (UK), ESI Inc. (US) and Kinectrics Inc. (Canada). Kinectrics is a company based in Toronto, which provides life cycle management services to the energy industry, principally in the fields of nuclear power, electricity transmission and distribution and environment. Vision Capital is an investment firm focused on investing principally in European private equity. Vision Capital brings fresh capital and new time horizons to its investee companies and works with their management teams to develop them over the medium term.
