On March 21, 2012, Canadian-based exploration company Merc International Minerals Inc. (TSXV: MRK) completed a private placement offering of 28,302,400 units at a price of $0.33 per unit and 7,185,000 flow-through common shares at a price of $0.40 per flow-through common share for aggregate gross proceeds of $12,213,792. The gross proceeds from the sale of the flow-through common shares will be used for exploration on Merc International Minerals Inc.’s properties and the net proceeds from the sale of the units will be used by Merc International Mineral Inc. for its general working capital purposes. Fraser Mackenzie Limited, as lead agent, Jones, Gable & Company Limited, Cormark Securities Inc., Bellotti Goodman Capital Inc., PowerOne Capital Markets Limited and Euro Pacific Canada Inc. acted as agents for the private placement and were advised by a team of Fasken Martineau lawyers that included Gregory Ho Yuen, Alex Nikolic and Arun Krishnamurti with assistance from students-at-law Natasha Prasaud, Jesse Harper and Mira Ortved.
