Agropur merges with Dairytown Products

On June 30, 2014, Agropur and Dairytown Products proceeded with the merger of their two organizations. This transaction will allow Agropur to strengthen its long-term presence in Atlantic Canada and is in line with its mission to keep milk producers directly involved in the manufacturing segment of the dairy industry. The cooperative thereby welcomed new milk producers from New Brunswick into its membership. The Fasken Martineau team that helped carry out this transaction included Diane Bertrand and Marie-Eve Clavet in corporate law, Alain Ranger for tax issues and Anthony Baldanza in the area of competition law.
