Major Crown corporation

Fasken participated in defending the interests of a major Crown corporation in a national arbitration of a dispute resulting from the adoption by the Canadian Parliament of special legislation ordering the return to work of several thousand employees following the exercise of the right to strike.

This mandate required a thorough understanding of the Corporation's interests and the complex rules governing it, extensive preparation for the arbitration, representations before the arbitrator appointed by the Minister, and participation in the final submissions.

Dominique L'Heureux advised a major Crown corporation in this mandate.
