On February 6 2019, Fonds de solidarité FTQ announced their partnership with the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and offered a US$ 120 million credit facility to the Cirque du Soleil in connection with its acquisition of The Works Entertainment. Since 2012, The Works Entertainment creates, presents and produces high-quality shows throughout the world and it is known for its mid-sized theatre productions with successful magic shows such as The Illusionists and Now You See Me Live. The acquisition will support the future growth of the Cirque du Soleil in those markets.
