On December 15, 2020, Pétroles Cadeko Inc. announced its acquisition of 98 service stations operating under the Petro-Canada banner across Quebec and New Brunswick, as well as 86 service stations operating under the Eko, Sonerco and Axco banners located in Quebec.
This acquisition allows Pétroles Cadeko to strengthen its position as the largest Petro-Canada retailer in the country, now operating a total of 180 service stations under the Petro-Canada brand. This purchase will also allow Pétroles Cadeko to tackle the New Brunswick market for the first time.
This transaction is the largest in the organization’s history. The exact acquisition amount has not been disclosed.
Pétroles Cadeko Inc. owns or operates 283 service stations under the Petro-Canada and Eko brands, the Sprint convenience store network, as well as restaurants. With this transaction, the company surpasses the 1,000-employee milestone.
