Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre successfully defends against grievance alleging a collective agreement violation related to a hiring selection

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre ("Sunnybrook"), a large multi-site hospital in Toronto, successfully defended against a grievance whereby the Service Employees International Union Local 1 Canada alleged that Sunnybrook failed to consider an employee's ability, experience and qualifications in a hiring process, in violation of the collective agreement.
