On March 31, 2022, Pétroles Cadeko Inc., a partnership between Groupe F. Dufresne and Suncor, announced its acquisition of Les Pétroles Alcasyna Inc.
With the addition of these locations, Pétroles Cadeko's retail network will now consist of nearly 320 locations and 13 restaurants. Pétroles Cadeko, the largest retailer and operator of the Petro-Canada banner in the country, solidifies its presence in Québec by adding to its network 22 Petro-Canada locations, five Petro-Abitémis and three A&W restaurants operated by the Lapointe family in Abitibi-Témiscamingue.
This merger between two well-known Québec family businesses is great economic news for the province of Québec and the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region.
