Overview

Nicolas Faucher is co-leader of the Financial Services group and co-president  of the Corporate/Commercial group. He is recognized as a leading lawyer in legal issues related to financial institutions, financial services, technology and professional services companies.

Nicolas advises clients in the financial services sector on the application of the law, regulatory compliance and the negotiation of various commercial agreements.

Nicolas also works closely with clients in the payment and financial technology. As he has gained valuable experience in these areas. He provides Canadian and foreign clients with strategic and legal advice and helps them implement their business models. 

He also plays a key role in issues related to AML, codes of conducts and consumer protection legislation.

Nicolas is a sought-after lecturer and regularly speaks at industry conferences and client seminars on legal issues concerning the financial services industry and payments.

Before joining Fasken, Nicolas launched his career working as legal counsel for two of the largest financial institutions in Quebec. He also worked for another major Montréal business law firm.
